ITC-EYE TRIPOD

MOBILE AUTOMATIC VEHICLE AND LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION AND RECORDING SYSTEM ITC-EYE TRIPOD

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Combined video unit (one or several, depending on delivery set) is placed on the side of the road, so that passing vehicles go through the control zone of the unit. Control zone of a single video unit may be between one and four lanes broad. Video unit is supplemented by IR projector for illuminating license plates in poor lighting conditions. Video unit creates video footage of the control zone and transmits it to computing unit for further processing. «ITC-EYE™» software, installed to the computing unit performs recognition of license plates within the control zone and performs certain other pre set tasks:
  • Detection of traffic violations and recording of photo/video evidence;
  • Evidence storage;
  • Cross checking of recognized license plates against connected databases;
  • Notifying the operator about detected events;
  • Transfer of gathered violation data to law enforcement agencies.
Number and repertory of performed tasks depends on the place of deployment of the system.

FUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM

System performs automatically detects traffic violations and records photographic and video evidence. System automatically scans and recognizes front and rear license plates of all vehicles within the control zone of a video unit. Information about each detected vehicle is automatically stored and archived. There is only one log entry that corresponds to a each detected vehicle.

VEHICLE DETECTION

System detects and records all vehicles within the control zone, including ones without license plate or with unrecognizable license plates. System automatically classifies vehicles by type, according to the table below.

VEHICLE TYPES

Type Название Описание
Т1 Motorbike Motorbike, scooter
Т2 Light Light vehicles, minibuses, trucks below 3.5 t.
Т3 Heavy Trucks above 3.5. t, buses, tractors
Т4 Road-train Trucks with trailer or semitrailer
For each detected vehicle system generates and stores the following information:
  • Image of the license plate;
  • Two images of the vehicle;
  • General view at the moment of detection;
  • Alphanumeric sequence of the license plate, with type and nationality indicated (if license plate is present);
  • Record date and time;
  • Coordinates of the location (address, if address detection function is enabled);
  • Vehicle type (see table).
